The Core Systems team at eero is responsible for maintaining, scaling, and developing distributed systems critical to our operations, developing data services that handle fleet analytics and business metrics, and creating reusable tools and components that enable the rest of the organization to build scalable, secure, and reliable software.
We are looking for a security-minded individual to help us develop better tools and processes for improving security across our applications and infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop software libraries, patterns, and services that enable engineers to be secure by default - Improve monitoring to detect anomalous behavior - Review and perform threat analysis on system designs - Advise project teams on security requirements - Create tools to perform security checks and alerting early in the development process - Participate in incident response
About the team
We are a customer focused team that wants to make building and maintaining great software as easy as possible. We work with teams building services, mobile apps, and embedded software to make sure the eero ecosystem is as reliable and efficient as possible.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
